Gauge:

20 stitches x 26 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch

Instructions:

1. Cast on 60 stitches and work in rib stitch for 1 inch.
2. Switch to stockinette stitch and knit until piece measures 8 inches from cast on edge.
3. Shape hood: Row 1: Knit 24, turn. Rows 2-20: Work in stockinette stitch. Bind off.
4. Join yarn at neck edge and knit 12 stitches from right front, pick up and knit 22 stitches along hood edge, knit 12 stitches from left front.
