- Cast on 60 (66, 72, 78, 84, 90) stitches for neck edge and work 1.5 in of 1x1 rib along the front bands.
- Join to work in the round or continue flat for the raglan yoke. For each size, begin raglan increases on every right side row 9 times, adding 4 stitches per row (2 on each front edge and 1 on each sleeve edge).
- Continue until yoke depth is about 3.5 in, then split for sleeves. Bind off required front edges for neck shaping.
- Sleeves: pick up stitches around armholes and knit in the round; sleeve length as chart; shape with gentle increases to cuff.
- Body: continue in stockinette to desired length, about 12–14 in from underarm depending on size; finish with 2x2 rib at hem.
- Buttonbands: pick up along front edges; work 1x1 rib for 1.5 in; place 6 evenly spaced buttonholes starting about 1 in below neck. Attach 6 buttons.
- Finishing: seam sides if using flat pieces; weave in ends; block lightly.
Notes
Gauge is essential; adjust needle size to obtain gauge. If your yarn is slightly lighter or heavier, use the recommended meterage per size and adapt length accordingly. Website: https://purljam.verde.uk Support: team@verde.uk Socials: #purljam
