18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
This pattern is written for a size small with options to customize for medium and large sizes.
Waistband:
Cast on 120 (144, 168) stitches.
Join in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches, and place a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round.
Work in 2x2 ribbing (knit 2, purl 2) for 2 inches.
Switch to stockinette stitch (knit every round) and continue until the waistband measures 4 inches.
Skirt:
Switch to circular needles for knitting in the round.
Round 1: *Knit 15 (18, 21), make 1 (m1)*, repeat from * to * until end of the round.
