14 stitches and 18 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Size:

This pattern is written in one size to fit an average adult female (approximately a 36-38 inch bust).

Instructions:

Back Panel:

Cast on 68 stitches.

Work in stockinette stitch (knit on right-side rows, purl on wrong-side rows) until the piece measures 20 inches from the cast-on edge, ending with a purl row.

Front Panels (make two):

Cast on 34 stitches.

Work in stockinette stitch until the piece measures 20 inches from the cast-on edge, ending with a purl row.

Sleeves (make two):

Cast on 36 stitches.

Work in stockinette stitch until the piece measures 18 inches from the cast-on edge, ending with a purl row.

Finishing:

Seaming the sides:

Place the back panel and front panels right sides together, aligning the side edges. Use the mattress stitch or your preferred seaming method to sew the side seams, leaving armholes open.

Seaming the sleeves:

Fold each sleeve in half, with the cast-on edge meeting the bound-off edge. Use the mattress stitch or your preferred seaming method to sew the sleeve seams.
