Cozy Baby Hat Knitting Pattern
A beginner-level knitting project using dk yarn. Worked in the round. Finished dimensions: approximately 14 inches / 35.5 cm × 6 inches / 15 cm.

22 sts x 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Pattern
- Cast on 72 stitches using the long-tail cast-on method.
- Place marker and join in the round, being careful not to twist.
- Round 1: *K1, P1* repeat from * to * to end of round.
- Repeat Round 1 until hat measures 4.5 inches from the cast-on edge.
- Next Round: Knit all stitches.
- Decrease Rounds:
- Round 1: *K6, k2tog* repeat from * to * to end of round.
- Round 2: Knit all stitches.
- Round 3: *K5, k2tog* repeat from * to * to end of round.
- Round 4: Knit all stitches.
- Continue in this manner, decreasing the number of knit stitches before each k2tog by 1 in each decrease round until 8 stitches remain.
- Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail through the remaining stitches, pull tight to close the hole, and secure the end.
- Weave in any remaining yarn ends with the yarn needle.
