Instructions

1. Begin with a magic ring.
2. Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as first double crochet), work 11 double crochet into the ring. Pull the tail to tighten the ring. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3. (12 stitches)
3. Round 2: Chain 3, double crochet in the same stitch. 2 double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3. (24 stitches)
4. Round 3: Chain 3, double crochet in the same stitch. *Double crochet in the next stitch, 2 double crochet in the next stitch. Repeat from * around. Join with a slip stitch. (36 stitches)
5. Continue increasing with each round until you have 12 rounds total, following the same pattern of increases.
6. For the floral design in the center, work 5 double crochet into one stitch, skip 1 stitch, slip stitch into the next stitch. Repeat around for a total of 6 petals.
7. Fasten off and weave in ends.
