Materials Needed:

Gauge:

15 stitches and 18 rows = 4 inches in single crochet

Instructions:

  1. Back Panel: Chain 60, single crochet in the 2nd chain from hook and across (59 sc). Turn.
  2. Continue with single crochet rows until the piece measures 15 inches.
  3. Shape Armholes: Slip stitch the first 5 stitches, single crochet across until the last 5 stitches, slip stitch the last 5 stitches. (49 sc)
  4. Continue working even until armhole measures 8 inches.
  5. Fasten off and weave in ends.
  6. Front Panel: Repeat Back Panel instructions.
  7. Leg Openings: Place markers 8 inches from each side for leg openings. Attach yarn and single crochet between markers. Work 3 rows of single crochet.
  8. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Sew side seams, leaving 2 inches open on each side for armholes. Sew inseam, leaving openings for legs.
  9. Edging: Attach yarn along neckline and armholes. Single crochet around edges.
  10. Fasten off, weave in ends and enjoy your new crochet romper!
