Head and Body:
Row 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, sc 6 in the ring. (6 sts)
Row 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
Row 3: *Sc 1, inc*, repeat from * to * around. (18 sts)
Row 4: *Sc 2, inc*, repeat from * to * around. (24 sts)
Row 5: *Sc 3, inc*, repeat from * to * around. (30 sts)
Rows 6-14: Sc in each st around. (30 sts)
Row 15: *Sc 3, dec*, repeat from * to * around. (24 sts)
Row 16: *Sc 2, dec*, repeat from * to * around. (18 sts)
Row 17: *Sc 1, dec*, repeat from * to * around. (12 sts)
Stuff the head and body firmly with polyester fiberfill.
Row 18: Dec in each st around. (6 sts)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Ears (Make 2):
Row 1: Ch 6, turn. Skip the first ch, sc 5. (5 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc 5. (5 sts)
Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Dec, sc 3, dec. (3 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Fold each ear in half and sew them to the sides of the head.
Muzzle:

Row 3: *Sc 1, inc*, repeat from * to * around. (18 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Attach the muzzle to the front of the head, slightly below the eyes.
Nose:
Row 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, sc 6 in the ring. (6 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the nose to the center of the muzzle.
Eyes (Make 2):
Row 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, sc 6 in the ring. (6 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the eyes above the muzzle, on each side of the nose.
Assembly:
Using a tapestry needle, sew the head and body together. Attach the ears, muzzle, nose, and eyes as described in the instructions to complete the balloon dog.
