Gauge

16 stitches x 22 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch using larger needles

Pattern

1. Using smaller needles, cast on 80 stitches for the back panel.

2. Work in 1x1 ribbing (k1, p1) for 2 inches.

3. Switch to larger needles and stockinette stitch. Begin raglan increases as follows:

   • Row 1 (RS): Knit 1, M1R, knit to last stitch, M1L, knit 1 (82 stitches).
   • Row 2 and all WS rows: Purl all stitches.
   • Repeat these 2 rows until you have 134 stitches.

4. Divide for sleeves: Place the last 32 stitches on hold for both sleeves and continue working the remaining 70 stitches for the body.

5. Continue in stockinette stitch for 12 inches.

6. Shape neckline: Work across 35 stitches, join a new ball of yarn, bind off the center 16 stitches, work to end. Work each side of the V-neck separately.

7. Continue working raglan increases as set until you have 66 stitches for each sleeve.

8. Work in stockinette stitch for 6 inches.

9. Switch to smaller needles and work in ribbing for 2 inches. Bind off all stitches.

10. Repeat for the second sleeve.

11. Seam the underarm and side seams. Weave in all ends. Block your cardigan to measurements.
