Pattern:
Setup Rows:
- Using the long-tail cast-on method, cast on 3 stitches. (Note: You can use any cast-on method you prefer, as long as it creates a stretchy edge.)
- Setup Row 1 (RS): K1, YO, K1, YO, K1 (5 stitches)
- Setup Row 2 (WS): Knit all stitches
Main Pattern:
Repeat the following two rows until you reach the desired size for your shawl:
- Row 1 (RS): K1, YO, knit to the last stitch, YO, K1
- Row 2 (WS): Knit all stitches
Finishing:
Continue working the main pattern until you have reached your desired length or until you have approximately 10 yards (10 meters) of yarn remaining.
Bind off all stitches loosely and weave in any loose ends using a tapestry needle. Block your shawl to your desired shape and measurements.
Notes:
- You can experiment with different yarn weights and needle sizes to achieve different results. Just make sure to adjust your cast-on stitches accordingly.
- To make your shawl larger, simply continue repeating Rows 1 and 2 of the main pattern until you reach the desired size.
- Feel free to add tassels or fringe to the ends of your shawl for a decorative touch.
