Materials
Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (UK: Aran, 10ply) in 3 different colors - A (main color), B, and C
Hook: US H/8 (5.0mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge
Each square should measure approximately 4 inches (10cm) across.
Instructions
Center Flower (Make 1)
With color A, make a magic ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc into ring, join with a sl st to top of beginning ch-3. (12 dc)
Round 2: *Ch 5, sk next dc, sc in next dc; rep from * around, ending with ch 5, join with a sl st in first sc.
Round 3: *In next ch-5 sp (sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc), ch 1; rep from * around, join with a sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
Granny Square (Make 1)
Join color B in any ch-1 corner sp of Center Flower.
Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same sp, *dc in next 2 sts, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in corner ch-1 sp; rep from * around, join with a sl st to top of beginning ch-3. (16 dc on each side)
Rounds 2-4: Ch 3, dc in each st around, putting (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in each corner ch-2 sp. Join and fasten off at the end of Round 4.
Assembly
Weave in all ends.
