Garter Stitch Chevron Pattern

This pattern creates a beautifully textured chevron design using only the garter stitch. Perfect for scarves, blankets, and more!

Materials

• Yarn: Worsted weight (US) / Aran (UK) / 10-ply (AU) in your choice of color
• Needles: US 8 (5mm) / UK 6 / Metric 5mm knitting needles

Instructions

Cast on a multiple of 12 stitches (e.g. 24, 36, 48, etc.)

1. Knit all stitches for 6 rows for the base
2. Row 1: Knit
3. Row 2: Knit 10, knit 2 together, knit 2 together through the back loop, knit 10
4. Repeat rows 1 and 2 until desired length
5. Knit 6 rows to finish

Bind off and weave in ends.
