Description:

Materials:

Gauge:

24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Pattern:

1. Cast on 120 stitches using the long tail cast on method.
2. Join in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
3. Work in 2x2 ribbing (k2, p2) for 2 inches.
4. Switch to stockinette stitch and knit every round until the body measures 12 inches from the cast on edge.
5. Divide for sleeves: Slip the first 30 stitches onto a stitch holder for the first sleeve, knit the next 60 stitches for the front, slip the next 30 stitches onto a stitch holder for the second sleeve, and knit the last 60 stitches for the back.
6. Body: Continue knitting in the round on the front and back sections until the body measures 18 inches from the cast on edge.
7. Fluted Sleeves: Transfer the held sleeve stitches back onto the needles. Knit in stockinette stitch, increasing 1 stitch on each side every 4th row 5 times. Then, every 6th row 6 times. Continue in stockinette until the sleeve measures 17 inches from the underarm.
