Gauge
18 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Instructions
Scarf
- Cast on 40 stitches.
- Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 60 inches.
- Bind off all stitches.
Hood
- With the right side facing, pick up and knit 60 stitches along the edge of the scarf.
- Work in stockinette stitch until hood measures 12 inches.
- Bind off all stitches.
Assembly
- Fold the hood in half and sew the back seam using the mattress stitch.
- Sew the hood to the scarf at the center back, leaving an opening for the face.
- Weave in all ends and trim excess yarn.
