Icelandic Wool Hat Knitting Pattern

Gauge:

16 stitches x 20 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needles

Instructions:

1. Using the smaller needles and the main color yarn, cast on 72 stitches. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.
2. Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 1.5 inches.

4. Continue in pattern until hat measures 8 inches from the cast-on edge.
5. Shape crown:

Continue in this manner, decreasing by one stitch between K2tog every other round until 8 stitches remain.
