Jellyfish Shawl Pattern
This stunning shawl is inspired by the elegant beauty of jellyfish. The main body of the shawl features a lace pattern reminiscent of jellyfish tendrils, while the edging mimics the graceful movement of their tentacles. Let's get started!

- Yarn: Fingering weight yarn (Category 1). Approximately 400 yards (366 meters).
- Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles, 32 inches (80 cm) long.
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Gauge
24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.
Instructions
Note: This pattern is written in US terms. For UK terms, please refer to the conversion table provided below.
Shawl Body

- Row 2: K1, yo, knit to end of row.

Tentacle Edging
With the shawl body still on your needles, let's work on the tentacle edging.
- Row 1: Insert your needle into the first stitch on the left-hand needle and knit it, but do not slide it off the needle. Instead, bring the yarn from the back of the work to the front (as if to purl) and knit the same stitch again. Slide both stitches off the needle.
- Repeat Row 1 for the remaining stitches on the left-hand needle.
- Slide the stitches from the right-hand needle back onto the left-hand needle and repeat Row 1 for these stitches as well.
- Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until you reach the end of the row.
- Bind off all stitches.
