Instructions

1. Cast on 36 stitches.
2. Row 1 (RS): K2, P2, *K6, P2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K2.
3. Row 2 (WS): P2, K2, *P6, K2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, P2.
4. Row 3: K2, P2, *C4F, C4B, P2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K2.
5. Row 4: Repeat row 2.
6. Repeat rows 1-4 for the cable pattern until the piece measures approximately 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) from cast-on edge.
7. Next row (thumbhole row, RS): K2, P2, *K2, P2; repeat from * 3 times, PM, K12, PM, *K2, P2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K2.
8. Next row (WS): P2, K2, *P2, K2; repeat from * to marker, slip marker, P12, slip marker, *P2, K2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, P2.
9. Continue working in cable pattern for all stitches except the 12 thumbhole stitches. Work the thumbhole stitches in K2, P2 ribbing for 4 rows.
