Instructions:

  1. Body: With yellow yarn, cast on 20 stitches.
  2. Row 1-20: Knit all stitches.
  3. Row 21: *K2tog, k6, repeat from * to end of row (18 stitches).
  4. Row 22: Purl all stitches.
  5. Row 23: *K2tog, k5, repeat from * to end of row (16 stitches).
  6. Row 24: Purl all stitches.
  7. Row 25: Knit all stitches.
  8. Row 26: *K2tog, k4, repeat from * to end of row (14 stitches).
  9. Row 27-30: Knit all stitches.
  10. Repeat rows 21-30 once more (12 stitches).
  11. Rows 41-50: Knit all stitches.
  12. Bind off.
  13. Wings (make 2): With red yarn, cast on 10 stitches.
  14. Row 1-10: Knit all stitches.
  15. Bind off.
  16. Sew wings to sides of body.
  17. Head: With red yarn, cast on 10 stitches.
  18. Row 1-10: Knit all stitches.
  19. Bind off.
  20. Sew head to top of body.
  21. Beak: With orange yarn, cast on 6 stitches.
  22. Row 1-6: Knit all stitches.
  23. Bind off.
  24. Sew beak to head.
  25. Stuff the body lightly and sew bottom closed.
  26. Your chicken toy is now ready to be cuddled and loved!
