Knitted Crop Top with Crochet-Like Cups Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: Light Worsted Weight Yarn (US), Double Knitting (UK), 8 ply (AUS). Approximately 300-400 grams (400-500 meters).
• Knitting Needles: 4mm (US 6, UK 8)
• Crochet Hook: 3.5mm (US E/4, UK 9)
• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle

Gauge:

20 stitches x 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Instructions:

Front Panel:

1. Cast on 70 stitches using the long tail cast on method.
2. Knit in stockinette stitch for 20 rows.
3. Continue knitting, but start shaping the neckline by binding off the center 30 stitches. Knit each side separately for 10 rows.
4. Rejoin yarn and knit across all stitches for 20 rows.
5. Bind off.

Cups (Make 2):

1. Using the crochet hook, chain 21 stitches.
2. Single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. Chain 1, turn.
3. Repeat the single crochet row until you have a square piece.
4. Trim the edges with a scallop or picot edging pattern for a crochet-like look.

Assembly:

1. Sew the cups to the front panel, aligning them with the shaping of the neckline.
2. Sew the side seams of the crop top.
3. Weave in any loose ends and trim excess yarn.
