24 stitches x 30 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette stitch
Using the main color yarn, cast on 20 stitches.
Row 1 (right side): Knit all stitches.
Row 2 (wrong side): Purl all stitches.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the piece measures 4 inches / 10 cm from the cast-on edge, ending with a purl row.
Using the main color yarn, cast on 6 stitches.
