Instructions

  1. Cast On: Using your knitting needles, cast on 18 stitches.
  2. Knit Rows: Knit every row until your work measures 3 inches (7.5 cm) from the cast-on edge.
  3. Decrease Rows: To shape the headband, follow the instructions below:
    1. K1, SSK, knit to last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1
    2. Knit all stitches
    3. Repeat these 2 rows until 6 stitches remain on your needles.
  4. Bind Off: Bind off all stitches.
  5. Finishing: Weave in any loose ends using a tapestry needle.
  6. Seaming: Fold the headband in half, matching the cast-on and bind-off edges. Use a tapestry needle to sew the two edges together, creating a seam.
