Knitted One-Piece Baby Hoodie Pattern

Create a cozy and adorable 3-month baby hoodie with this seamless one-piece pattern. Perfect for keeping your little one snug and stylish.

Materials:

• Yarn: DK weight yarn (US), 8 ply (UK), 3 (Light) (Australian). Approximately 200g (500m) in main color and 50g (125m) in contrast color.
• Knitting Needles: US 6 (4mm) and US 4 (3.5mm) circular needles, or sizes needed to obtain gauge.
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers
• Scissors

Gauge:

22 stitches x 30 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch on larger needles.

Pattern:

1. Back:

Using larger needles and main color, cast on 60 stitches.

Work in stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) for 6 inches.

2. Hood:

Next row: Knit 30, place marker, knit 15, place marker, knit remaining 15 stitches.

Continue in stockinette stitch, knitting the first and last 4 stitches of every row to create a garter stitch border, until hood measures 8 inches.

3. Front:

Starting at the center front neck edge, pick up and knit 45 stitches along one side of the hood, knit across the 60 back stitches, then pick up and knit 45 stitches along the other side of the hood.

Work in stockinette stitch for 4 inches.

4. Shoulders:

Bind off 6 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.

Work 9 rows even.

5. Attach Sleeves:

With right side facing, pick up and knit 30 stitches along armhole edge.

Work in stockinette stitch for 4 inches.

Bind off.

6. Finishing:

Using contrast color, seam hood and weave in ends.
