Knitted Plant Pattern
This pattern will guide you through knitting a cute and easy decorative plant for your home or office. This is a quick project that is perfect for beginners!
Materials:
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in green (100g)
- Needles: US size 8 / UK size 6 / 5 mm straight needles
- Polyester stuffing
- Tapestry needle
Gauge:
Not crucial for this project.
Instructions:
- Pot:
- CO 6 stitches.
- Work in Garter Stitch (knit every row) for 16 rows.
- BO all stitches.
- Using the mattress stitch, seam up the side of the rectangle to form a tube. Leave the BO edge unsewn for the opening.
- Leaves (make 3):
- CO 4 stitches.
- Row 1: Kfb, k to last st, kfb.
- Row 2: Purl.
- Repeat these 2 rows until you have 10 stitches. Work even in St st until leaf measures 3 inches from CO edge.
- BO all stitches.
- Assembly:
- Stuff the pot with polyester stuffing.
- Sew the leaves to the top edge of the pot.
- Your knitted plant is now ready to bring some greenery into your space!
