Knitted Plant Pattern

This pattern will guide you through knitting a cute and easy decorative plant for your home or office. This is a quick project that is perfect for beginners!

Materials:

• Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in green (100g)
• Needles: US size 8 / UK size 6 / 5 mm straight needles
• Polyester stuffing
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:

Not crucial for this project.

Instructions:

1. Pot:
   1. CO 6 stitches.
   2. Work in Garter Stitch (knit every row) for 16 rows.
   3. BO all stitches.
   4. Using the mattress stitch, seam up the side of the rectangle to form a tube. Leave the BO edge unsewn for the opening.
2. Leaves (make 3):
   1. CO 4 stitches.
   2. Row 1: Kfb, k to last st, kfb.
   3. Row 2: Purl.
   4. Repeat these 2 rows until you have 10 stitches. Work even in St st until leaf measures 3 inches from CO edge.
   5. BO all stitches.
3. Assembly:
   1. Stuff the pot with polyester stuffing.
   2. Sew the leaves to the top edge of the pot.
   3. Your knitted plant is now ready to bring some greenery into your space!
