Materials:
Gauge: 18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Finished size: Approximately 36 inches x 48 inches
Note: Each square is knitted separately, and then sewn together to create the blanket.
Cast on 36 stitches.
Row 1 (Right side): Knit all stitches.
Row 2 (Wrong side): Purl all stitches.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the square measures 6 inches.
Bind off all stitches.
Make a total of 24 squares.
Lay out the squares in the desired pattern, making sure they are all facing the same direction.
Using a tapestry needle, sew the squares together using a whipstitch or mattress stitch.
Weave in any loose ends and trim off excess yarn.
Your knitted squares blanket is now complete!
