Lace Socks Knitting Pattern

Materials:
- Yarn: Fine weight yarn (UK: 3ply, US: Light Fingering) - 100g
- Needles: US 1 (2.25mm) / UK Old 13 / Metric 13
- Cable needle
Gauge:
32 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Pattern:
- Cuff: Cast on 64 stitches. Join in the round, being careful not to twist. Work k2, p2 ribbing for 2 inches.
- Leg: Begin lace pattern: Row 1: *k2, yo, ssk, k2tog, yo, k3; repeat from * to end. Row 2: and all even rows - knit. Row 3: *k1, yo, ssk, k2tog, yo, k4; repeat from * to end. Row 5: *yo, ssk, k2tog, yo, k5; repeat from * to end. Row 7: *ssk, k2tog, yo, k6, yo; repeat from * to end. Row 9: *k2tog, yo, k7, yo, ssk; repeat from * to end. Row 11: *k1, yo, k8, yo, ssk; repeat from * to end. Row 12: knit.
- Heel Flap: Work back and forth on half of the stitches in stockinette stitch for 1.5 inches.
- Heel Turn: Row 1: sl1, k15, ssk, k1, turn. Row 2: sl1, p5, p2tog, p1, turn. Row 3: sl1, knit to 1 stitch before gap, ssk, k1, turn. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until all stitches have been worked.
- Foot: Pick up stitches along the heel flap. Knit even until foot measures 2 inches less than desired foot length.
- Toe: Work toe decreases as follows: Round 1: k1, ssk, knit to last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1. Round 2: knit. Repeat these 2 rounds until 16 stitches remain. Graft toe stitches together.
- Weave in ends and block to finish.
