Lacey Cardigan with Double Knit Edge

- Yarn: DK weight yarn (US), Light Worsted (UK), 8ply (AU), 50g (125m)
- Needles: US 6 (4mm) for lace pattern, US 5 (3.75mm) for ribbing

Gauge:
22 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Pattern is written for sizes S (M, L, XL). Sample shown in size M.
Instructions:
- Using US 5 needles, cast on 100 (110, 120, 130) stitches. Work in K1, P1 ribbing for 2 inches.
- Switch to US 6 needles and begin lace pattern: Row 1: Knit. Row 2: Purl. Row 3: [K2, yo, k2tog] to end. Row 4: Purl. Repeat these 4 rows for lace pattern, working lace section for 10 inches.
- Next, work 4 rows in stockinette stitch.
- Begin shaping armholes: Bind off 4 (5, 6, 7) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Then, decrease 1 stitch at each armhole edge every other row 3 times.
- Continue even until piece measures 20 (21, 22, 23) inches from cast on edge.
- Work 2 inches of K1, P1 ribbing with US 5 needles. Bind off in pattern.
- Sew side seams and weave in ends.
