Ladybug Knitted Coin Purse Pattern

Gauge

22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Instructions

1. Body (Make 2)

   Using red yarn, cast on 30 stitches.

   Work in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) for 20 rows.

   Change to black yarn and work in stockinette stitch for 10 rows.

   Change back to red yarn and work in stockinette stitch for 20 rows.

   Bind off all stitches.

2. Head (Make 1)

   Using black yarn, cast on 12 stitches.

   Work in stockinette stitch for 10 rows.

   Bind off all stitches.

3. Assembly

   Sew the two body pieces together along the sides and bottom using the yarn needle and matching yarn. Attach the head piece to the top of the body.

   Sew the zipper along the top edge of the body pieces.

   Using white yarn, embroider two small circles on the head for eyes.
