  1. Cast on 42 stitches.
  2. Row 1 (right side): Knit all stitches.
  3. Row 2: Purl all stitches.
  4. Repeat rows 1-2 until scarf measures approximately 60 inches from the cast-on edge, ending with a wrong-side row.
  5. Bind off in knit on the right side. Cut the yarn, leaving a six inch tail. Pull the tail through the last stitch and tighten.
  6. Use the tapestry needle to weave in ends.
