Materials Needed

• Yarn: 5 skeins of Worsted weight yarn (200 yards per skein)
• Knitting needles: US size 9 (5.5mm)
• Crochet hook: US size I/9 (5.5mm)
• Tapestry needle

Gauge

16 stitches and 20 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch

Finished Size

The blanket measures approximately 40 inches (102cm) by 50 inches (127cm).

Pattern

1. Cast on 180 stitches using the long-tail cast-on method.

2. Row 1: *Knit 2, purl 2* repeat till end of row.

3. Row 2: *Purl 2, knit 2* repeat till end of row.

4. Repeat rows 1 and 2 for a total of 6 inches.

5. Next row (right side): Knit across.

6. Next row (wrong side): Purl across.

7. Repeat the last 2 rows until the blanket measures 50 inches.

8. Next row: Knit across.

9. Next row: *Knit 2 together, yarn over* repeat till end of row.

10. Knit across next row.

11. Bind off all stitches.

Weave in all loose ends using a tapestry needle.
