Materials:
- Yarn: Medium weight yarn (US: Worsted, UK: Aran) in black, white, red, and blue
- Needles: 5mm (US: 8, UK: 6) knitting needles
- Tapestry needle
Gauge: 4" x 4" = 20 stitches x 26 rows in stockinette stitch
Abbreviations:
- K: Knit
- P: Purl
- CO: Cast on
- BO: Bind off
Front Panel:
- Using black yarn, CO 90 (100, 110) stitches.
- Work in stockinette stitch (K on right side, P on wrong side) for 20 rows.
- Next row: With white yarn, K all stitches.
- Continue in stockinette stitch with white yarn for 15 rows, then switch to red yarn for 10 rows, and then blue yarn for 5 rows.
Back Panel:
- Repeat steps 1-4 from the Front Panel.
Joining Panels:
