Instructions

Back Panel:

  1. Cast on 100 stitches.
  2. Work in stockinette stitch (knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side) for 20 inches or desired length.
  3. Bind off all stitches.

Front Panel:

  1. Cast on 100 stitches.
  2. Work in stockinette stitch for 17 inches.
  3. Next row (RS): Knit 40, place marker, knit 20, place marker, knit to end.
  4. Continue working in stockinette stitch for next 3 inches.
  5. Shape neck:
    • Next row (RS): Knit to 2 stitches before marker, knit 2 together, slip marker, knit 1, slip marker, knit 2 together, knit to end.
    • Next row (WS): Purl all stitches.
    • Repeat the last 2 rows 2 more times.
    • Next row (RS): Knit 2, knit 2 together, slip marker, knit to end.
    • Next row (WS): Purl all stitches.
    • Repeat the last 2 rows 3 more times.
    • Next row (RS): Knit 1, knit 2 together, slip marker, knit to end.
    • Next row (WS): Purl all stitches.
    • Repeat the last 2 rows 3 more times.
    • Next row (RS): Slip 1, knit 2 together, pass slipped stitch over, knit to end.
    • Next row (WS): Purl all stitches.
    • Repeat the last 2 rows 3 more times.
    • Bind off all stitches.

Sleeves:

  1. Cast on 40 stitches.
  2. Work in stockinette stitch for 16 inches.
  3. Shape sleeve:
    • Next row (RS): Knit to last 2 stitches, knit 2 together.
    • Next row (WS): Purl all stitches.
    • Repeat the last 2 rows 10 more times. (20 stitches remaining)
    • Bind off all stitches.

Finishing:

  1. Weave in all loose ends.
  2. Block the back panel, front panel, and sleeves to desired measurements.
  3. With right sides facing, sew the side seams of the front and back panels together.
  4. With right sides facing, sew the sleeve seams.
  5. Attach the sleeves to the armholes, matching the center of the sleeve with the shoulder seam.
  6. Weave in any remaining loose ends.
