One size fits most. Arm circumference stretches from 8 to 10 inches.
Cast on 40 stitches.
Ribbing:
Row 1 (right side): *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of row.
Row 2 (wrong side): *P2, K2; repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat these 2 rows for 2 inches.
Main Body:
Switch to stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side).
Continue in stockinette stitch for 6 inches.
Thumb Hole:
Next row (right side): K10, bind off 2 stitches, knit to end of row.
Continue in stockinette stitch for 1 inch.
Thumb (worked in the round, using crochet hook):
Join yarn at thumb hole.
Round 1: Single crochet evenly around the thumb hole, then slip stitch to join in the first single crochet. (Approximately 10 single crochet stitches).
Rounds 2-4: Single crochet in each stitch around.
Fasten off and weave in all loose ends.
Block the arm warmers to even out the stitches and enhance drape. Lay them flat, shape them to desired size, and let them air dry.
Note: You can adjust the size of the arm warmers by adding or subtracting stitches in multiples of 4.
