Shell Stitch Blanket Pattern

Create a cozy and beautiful blanket with a shell stitch pattern in shades of purple and blue.

Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in shades of purple and blue
  Yarn Weight: 4 (Medium)
  Imperial Needle Size: US 8 / UK 6 / Metric Needle Size: 5 mm

• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle

Pattern:

1. Chain a multiple of 6 stitches, plus 3 for the desired width of your blanket.
2. Row 1: In the 2nd chain from the hook, work 2 double crochets. *Skip 2 chains, in the next chain work 5 double crochets. Repeat from * across, ending with 3 double crochets in the last chain. Turn.
3. Row 2: Chain 3 (counts as first double crochet), 2 double crochets in the same stitch. *Skip 2 stitches, single crochet in the next stitch, skip 2 stitches, work 5 double crochets in the next stitch. Repeat from * across, ending with 3 double crochets in the turning chain. Turn.
4. Repeat Row 2 until the blanket reaches your desired length, alternating colors of purple and blue every 2 rows.
5. Fasten off and weave in the ends using a tapestry needle.
