Raglan Increases:
Place markers at each Raglan line, which will be 2 stitches before and 2 stitches after each sleeve. Knit row. Increase 1 stitch before first marker and after each marker. Repeat these increases every other row until you have reached your desired sleeve length.
Back and Front:
- CO 72 (80, 88, 96) stitches.
- Join in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches. Place marker to mark the beginning of the round.
- Work in stockinette stitch (knit every round) for 2 inches.
- Begin the raglan increases, as described above.
- Continue working in stockinette stitch until the body measures 16 (17, 18, 19) inches from the cast-on edge (or desired length).
- Place markers for the underarm stitches and slip them onto waste yarn or stitch holders.
- Set the back stitches aside.
Sleeves:
- Transfer the sleeve stitches from the waste yarn or stitch holder onto your circular needles. Pick up and knit 2 stitches under each arm for a total of 4 stitches.
- Knit every round for 1 inch.
- Begin the raglan increases, as described above.
- Continue working in stockinette stitch until the sleeve measures 16 (17, 18, 19) inches from the underarm (or desired length).
- BO all stitches and weave in any remaining ends.
Neckband:
- Transfer the back stitches from the waste yarn or stitch holder back onto your circular needles.
- With the right side facing, join the yarn and pick up and knit stitches evenly around the neck opening.
- Work in ribbing (K1, P1) for 1 inch.
- BO all stitches loosely.
Finishing:
- Weave in any remaining ends.
- Block the sweater to the desired measurements.
