Rainbow Striped Blanket Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Size US 8 (5mm) knitting needles
• DK weight yarn in 7 different rainbow colors (approximately 100g each color)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Gauge:

Using US 8 knitting needles, 18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

Abbreviations:

• k – knit
• p – purl

Pattern:

Row 1 (RS): With Color A, cast on 150 stitches.

Row 2 (WS): Purl across all stitches.

Rows 3-12: Repeat Rows 1 and 2 with Colors B through G, alternating colors.

Rows 13-24: Repeat Rows 1 and 2 with Colors A through G, alternating colors.

Repeat Rows 3-24: Continue repeating Rows 3-24 until blanket reaches desired length, ending on Rows 19-24.

Bind off: On the last row, bind off all stitches in pattern.

Finishing:

Weave in any loose ends using a tapestry needle. Block if desired.
