Ribbed Beanie Knitting Pattern

Gauge

Instructions

1. Using the long-tail cast on method, cast on 88 stitches onto circular needles. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.
2. Place marker for beginning of the round.
3. Round 1: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of round.
4. Repeat Round 1 until the hat measures 8 inches from cast on edge.
5. Crown Shaping:
   • Round 1: *K2, P2tog; repeat from * to end of round (66 stitches).
   • Round 2: *K1, P2; repeat from * to end of round.
   • Round 3: *K1, P2tog; repeat from * to end of round (44 stitches).
   • Round 4: *K1, P1; repeat from * to end of round.
   • Round 5: *K2tog; repeat from * to end of round (22 stitches).
   • Round 6: *K2tog; repeat from * to end of round (11 stitches).
6. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches, pull tight, and weave in ends.
