This pattern will guide you through creating a beautiful Roses Jumper. This jumper is perfect for the colder months and features a lovely rose pattern on the front.
20 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette stitch
This pattern is available in sizes Small (Medium, Large, Extra Large).
Cast on 100 (120, 140, 160) stitches.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Purl.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the piece measures 12 (14, 16, 18) inches from the cast on.
Next row (right side): Knit.
Shape armholes:
Row 1 (wrong side): Purl 3, purl 2 together, purl until 5 stitches remain, purl 2 together, purl 3. (98, 118, 138, 158 stitches)
Row 2: Knit.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 four more times. (90, 110, 130, 150 stitches)
Continue working even until armholes measure 6 (7, 8, 9) inches from the cast on.
Bind off 20 (25, 30, 35) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. (50, 60, 70, 80 stitches)
Continue working even until the piece measures 19 (21, 23, 25) inches from the cast on.
Shape shoulders:
Bind off 10 (12, 14, 16) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
Bind off remaining stitches.
Work as for Back until the piece measures 16 (18, 20, 22) inches from the cast on.
Begin Rose Chart:

Continue working even until the armholes measure the same as the Back.
Bind off for neck:
Work to center 32 (36, 40, 44) stitches, place these stitches on holder, join a second ball of yarn and work to the end of the row.
Working both sides at the same time, decrease 1 stitch at each neck edge every other row 3 times, then every 4th row 3 times. (18, 21, 24, 27 stitches each side)
Continue working even until the armholes measure the same as the Back.
Bind off.
Block all pieces to measurements.
Seam the shoulders.
With the right side facing, pick up and knit 90 (100, 110, 120) stitches along the left front neck edge.
Work in stockinette stitch until the collar measures 2 inches.
Bind off.
Repeat for the right front neck edge.
Seam the sides and underarm seams.
