Instructions

Follow these instructions to create each square:

  1. CO 20 stitches using your preferred method.
  2. Work in stockinette stitch (K on right side, P on wrong side) until the square measures 4 inches (10 cm) in length.
  3. BO all stitches.
  4. Weave in any loose ends with a darning needle.

Assembling the Blanket

Once you have made several squares, arrange them in your desired pattern. You can sew the squares together using a darning needle and scrap yarn in a matching color. Remember to leave a small border between each square for easy joining.

Continue adding squares and sewing them together until your blanket reaches the desired size.

Note: If you want a bigger or smaller square, adjust your needle size and/or number of cast-on stitches accordingly. Feel free to get creative with the colors and textures of the squares. This pattern is a great opportunity to experiment and have fun with your scrap wool!
