Materials
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in any color you prefer
- Knitting Needles: US size 7 (4.5mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Polyfill stuffing

18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Pattern Instructions
Base
- Cast on 6 stitches.
- Row 1: Knit across.
- Row 2: Purl across.
- Rep Rows 1-2 until you have 16 rows in total.
- Row 17: Knit 2, *k2tog, k2; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2. (4 sts)
- Row 18: Purl across.
- Row 19: Knit across.
- Row 20: Purl across.
- Rep Rows 19-20 until you have 8 rows in total.
- Row 29: Knit 2, *k2tog; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2. (2 sts)
- Row 30: Purl across.
- Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for seaming.
Sides
Pick up and knit 10 stitches along the side of the base.
- Row 1: Knit across.
- Row 2: Purl across.
- Rep Rows 1-2 for 20 rows in total.
- Repeat the same steps for the other side.
- Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for seaming.
Top
Pick up and knit 6 stitches along the top of the base.
- Row 1: Knit across.
- Row 2: Purl across.
- Rep Rows 1-2 for 10 rows in total.
- Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for seaming.
Finishing
With the wrong side facing, sew the sides of the sea potato using the mattress stitch.
Leave a small opening and stuff the potato with polyfill stuffing.
Close the opening using the mattress stitch.
Weave in any remaining yarn ends.
Finished Dimensions
The sea potato measures approximately 4 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height when stuffed.
