Instructions

Follow these instructions to create your small knitted scrap blanket motifs:

  1. Cast on 6 stitches.
  2. Row 1 (RS): Knit all stitches.
  3. Row 2 (WS): Purl all stitches.
  4. Row 3: K1, k2tog, knit to last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1. (4 stitches remaining)
  5. Row 4: Purl all stitches.
  6. Repeat Rows 3 and 4 until 2 stitches remain.
  7. Bind off.

Make as many motifs as you desire, using different colors and yarn scraps for each motif. Once you have created enough motifs, you can arrange and attach them together to form your scrap blanket. You can sew them together using a tapestry needle and matching yarn or crochet them together with a slip stitch.

Finishing

Weave in any loose ends using a tapestry needle, and trim excess yarn. Give your finished scrap blanket a gentle block to even out the motifs and enhance the drape.

Enjoy your cozy and colorful scrap blanket!
