20 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
One size fits most
Back:
Using the main color, cast on 90 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch for 10 inches.
Joining the contrasting color, work in cable pattern (see chart below) for 6 inches.
Switch back to main color and work in stockinette stitch for another 10 inches. Bind off.
Front:
Work as for back until reaching cable section.
Work cable pattern for 3 inches. On the next row, create a v-neck by binding off the center 20 stitches and finishing each side separately.
Continue in pattern for another 3 inches on each side. Bind off.
Row 1 (and all odd rows): Purl all stitches.
Row 2: K3, P6, K6, P6, K6, P6, K3.
Rows 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14: Knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches as they appear.
Row 16: Repeat Row 2.
Weave in all ends and block your work to measurements. Sew front and back pieces together at the shoulders and sides. Pick up stitches around the armholes and knit in rounds for 2 inches. Bind off and weave in ends.
