This pattern is for a striped jumper with increasing stripe distance towards the waist. The jumper is worked seamlessly from the top down, in the round. The stripes are created using simple color changes and the distance between each stripe increases as you work towards the waist.
18 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches / 10cm in stockinette stitch
This pattern is written for sizes S (M, L, XL). Sample shown in size M.
Using Color A, cast on 80 (88, 96, 104) stitches. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.
Work in stockinette stitch for 1 inch.
Next round: Knit, placing markers after every 20 (22, 24, 26) stitches.
Join Color B and work 2 rounds in stockinette stitch.
Repeat these 3 rounds, changing colors every 3 rounds, until you have a total of 6 stripes of Color B.
Next round: Knit, increasing 4 stitches evenly across the round.
Continue working in stockinette stitch with Color B, increasing the distance between stripes by 2 rounds after each stripe.
When you have reached the desired length for the body, work in ribbing for 1 inch.
Bind off loosely and weave in ends.
