One size fits most adults
With Color A and smaller needles, cast on 96 stitches.
Ribbing:
Row 1: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end
Repeat Row 1 for a total of 8 rows
Switch to larger needles.
Body:
Join Color B
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Repeat Rows 1-2 for a total of 10 rows
Continue working in stockinette stitch, alternating colors every 10 rows, until hat measures 8 inches from cast on edge.
Crown Decrease:
Switch to Color C
Row 1: *K6, K2tog; repeat from * to end (84 stitches)
Row 2 and all even rows: Purl

Continue in this manner, decreasing 12 stitches per decrease row until 12 stitches remain. Break yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches, pull tight, and secure.
