Sweater with Autumn Leaves Pattern

18 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needles

Leaf Pattern:
Multiple of 10 stitches
Row 1 (RS): *K3, k2tog, yo, ssk, k3, rep from * to end.
Row 2 and all WS rows: Purl all stitches.
Row 3: *K2, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k2, rep from * to end.
Row 5: *K1, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k1, rep from * to end.
Row 7: *K2tog, yo, k5, yo, ssk, rep from * to end.
Row 8: Purl all stitches.
Pattern:
- Using smaller needles, cast on a multiple of 10 stitches based on desired size.
- Work in K1, P1 ribbing for 2 inches.
- Switch to larger needles and work in stockinette stitch until piece measures approximately 12 inches from cast-on edge.
- Begin leaf pattern, working rows 1-8 until piece measures desired length.
- Continue in stockinette stitch for 2 inches.
- Switch back to smaller needles and work in K1, P1 ribbing for 2 inches.
