Under the Sea Crochet Octopus Pattern

- Yarn: Worsted weight 4ply yarn. (200yds/183m in Navy Blue, 50yds/46m in White)

Crochet Octopus Pattern
Starting with navy blue yarn, make a magic circle.
Row 1: ch1, work 10sc in the circle. Join with a sl st to first sc. (10sc)
Row 2: ch1, work 2sc in each sc around. Join with a sl st to first sc. (20sc)
Row 3: ch1, *[2sc in next sc, 1sc in next sc] Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to first sc. (30sc)
Repeat row 3 till you have the desired size for the body of the octopus. Switch to white yarn for the underside of the octopus.
Switch to White: ch1, sc in each st around. Join with a sl st to first sc. (30sc)
Continue stitching until the body reaches desired thickness. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing body closed. Stuff firmly.
To close: Thread tail through a yarn needle, weave through the front loop of each stitch of the last row, pull to tighten.
