V-Neck Cardigan Knitting Pattern
This v-neck cardigan features a beautifully textured design created with a combination of purl stitches, knit through the back loop (k1b), and cable stitches. The pattern consists of repeating the following sequence: p2, k1b, p2, 2/2 LC, p2, k1b, p2, 4/4 LC, p2, k1b, p2.
Materials:

Gauge:
20 stitches x 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Instructions:
Back:
- Cast on 80 (88, 96, 104) stitches.
- Work in p2, k1b, p2 ribbing for 2 inches.
- Begin the pattern sequence: p2, k1b, p2, 2/2 LC, p2, k1b, p2, 4/4 LC, p2, k1b, p2 until piece measures desired length.
- End with a wrong side row.
- Continue in stockinette stitch for 1 inch.
- Bind off all stitches.
Front (make 2):
- Cast on 40 (44, 48, 52) stitches.
- Work in p2, k1b, p2 ribbing for 2 inches.
- Begin the pattern sequence same as back.
- Shape the V-neck: Work both sides at the same time.
- When piece measures desired length, bind off center 4 (4, 6, 6) stitches and work each side separately.
