# AMIGURUMI BOOTS CROCHET PATTERN

**Skill Level:** Intermediate  
**Finished Size:** Approximately 2.5" long x 1.5" wide (adjustable for different amigurumi sizes)  
**Yarn Weight:** Worsted Weight (4)

## MATERIALS NEEDED

- **Yarn:** Worsted weight yarn in main color (approximately 50 yards)
- **Optional:** Contrasting color for soles/accents (20 yards)
- **Hook:** Size G/6 (4.0mm) crochet hook
- **Notions:** 
  - Yarn needle for sewing
  - Stitch markers
  - Scissors
  - Fiberfill stuffing
  - Small buttons or beads for decoration (optional)

## GAUGE

16 sc = 4" in single crochet  
18 rounds = 4"  
*Gauge is not critical for this project, but consistent tension will ensure even boots*

## ABBREVIATIONS

- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet

## SPECIAL TECHNIQUES

**Rnd 3:** Sc in each st around. (22 sts)

**Rnd 4:** BLO: sc in each st around. (22 sts)

Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing.

### BOOT UPPER (Make 2)

Using main color, work into the front loops left from Rnd 3 of sole:

**Rnd 1:** Join yarn in any front loop from Rnd 3, sc in each front loop around. (22 sts)

**Rnd 2:** Sc in each st around. (22 sts)

**Rnd 3:** Sc 5, [dec] 6 times, sc 5. (16 sts)

**Rnd 4:** Sc 3, [dec] 5 times, sc 3. (11 sts)

**Rnd 5:** Sc in each st around. (11 sts)

**Rnd 6:** Sc in each st around. (11 sts)

**Rnd 7 (Boot Cuff):** FLO: [sc, ch 1] in each st around, sl st to first sc.

**Rnd 8:** Ch 1, sc in each sc and ch-1 space around, sl st to first sc. (22 sts)

**Rnd 9:** Ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st to first sc. (22 sts)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

### TOE CAP (Make 2) - Optional

Using contrasting color:

**Rnd 1:** Magic ring, 6 sc in ring. (6 sts)

**Rnd 2:** [Inc] 6 times. (12 sts)

**Rnd 3:** [Sc, inc] 6 times. (18 sts)

**Rnd 4:** [Sc 2, inc] 6 times. (24 sts)

Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing.

### HEEL REINFORCEMENT (Make 2) - Optional

Using contrasting color:

**Row 1:** Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 4 ch. (5 sts)

**Rows 2-8:** Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. (5 sts)

Fasten off, leaving tail for sewing.

## ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. **Stuff the boots lightly:** Place small amount of fiberfill in toe area of each boot for structure.

2. **Attach toe caps (if using):** Position toe cap over front rounded section of boot. Pin in place and sew around edges with matching thread.

3. **Attach heel reinforcement (if using):** Position rectangular heel piece at back of boot sole. Sew in place.

4. **Shape the boots:** Gently shape each boot, ensuring the opening is properly formed for the amigurumi foot.
