## Special Stitches

**Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc):** Yarn over, insert hook from front to back to front around post of indicated stitch, yarn over and pull through (3 loops on hook), [yarn over, pull through 2 loops] twice.

**Back Post Double Crochet (bpdc):** Yarn over, insert hook from back to front to back around post of indicated stitch, yarn over and pull through (3 loops on hook), [yarn over, pull through 2 loops] twice.

**Dragon Scale Stitch:** Work 5 dc in same stitch, skip 2 stitches, slip stitch in next stitch, skip 2 stitches, repeat.

**Rows 10-33:** Continue Dragon Scale pattern, repeating Rows 2-4, then Row 1.

### Border
**Round 1:** With MC, work sc evenly around entire scarf, working 3 sc in each corner. Join with sl st.
**Round 2:** Ch 1, *sc in next 2 sts, fpdc around next st; repeat from * around, adjusting as needed for corners. Join with sl st.
**Round 3:** Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join with sl st and fasten off.

## Finishing
1. Weave in all remaining ends using tapestry needle
