# Friendly Ghost Tapestry Crochet Wall Hanging

## MATERIALS

## PATTERN NOTES

1. **Stitch Count:** Each row contains exactly 30 sts. Stitch count is provided at the end of each row in parentheses.

2. **Turning Chain:** Ch 1 at the beginning of each row does NOT count as a stitch.

3. **Tapestry Crochet Technique:** Carry the unused color along the top of the previous row, working over it with the active color. This creates a reversible fabric with no long floats.

4. **Color Changes:** To change colors, work the last sc with the old color until 2 loops remain on hook, yarn over with new color and pull through both loops. The new color is now active.

5. **Reading the Chart:** 
   - Each square represents 1 sc
   - Read odd-numbered rows (RS) from right to left
   - Read even-numbered rows (WS) from left to right
   - Dark squares = MC (background)
   - Light squares = CC (ghost)

To create a neat finished edge:

Fasten off. Weave in all ends.

## FINISHING

1. **Weave in Ends:** Use yarn needle to weave in all color change ends along the edges or through the back of same-colored stitches.

2. **Block (Optional):** Lightly steam block or wet block to help the piece lie flat and even out stitches. Pin to finished measurements and allow to dry completely.

3. **Hanging Loop (Optional):** 
   - With MC, ch 20, join with slip st to form a loop
