Lemon-Peel Stitch (Textured Stitch)
Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch, *sc in next ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; rep from * across.
Rep Row 2 for pattern.
(Every sc is worked into a dc and every dc into a sc, creating the pebbled texture.)

• Ch 1 at start of row does not count as a stitch.
• Color changes occur in the last yarn-over of the final stitch of the indicated row.
• Scarf is worked flat. Upper section is a wide rectangle; panels are narrower rectangles seamed to its lower edge.

Upper Cowl-Style Section (Color transition Coral Peach → Ivory Cream)
With Color A and 8 mm hook, ch 61.

Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch, *sc in next ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across. (60 sts)
Rows 2–10: Ch 1, turn, *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; rep from * across. (60 sts)
At end of Row 10, change to Color B in last yo of final st. Fasten off A.

Rows 11–14 (transition): With B, ch 1, turn, work Lemon-Peel Stitch across, alternating A and B every 2 sts for a blended look if desired, or solid B. (For smoothest block transition simply use solid B.) (60 sts)
Rows 15–32: Continue with Color B only in Lemon-Peel Stitch. (60 sts)
Fasten off B after Row 32. Upper section measures 24" wide × 14" tall. Weave in ends.

Scarf Panels (make 2, Taupe Gray)
With Color C, ch 21.

Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch, *sc in next ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across. (20 sts)
Rows 2–90: Ch 1, turn, work Lemon-Peel Stitch across. (20 sts)
Fasten off after Row 90, leaving a 24" tail for seaming. Each panel measures 8" wide × 40" long.

Border / Edge Finishing
With RS facing and Color B, join yarn at any corner of upper section.
Work 1 round of sc evenly around entire outer edge of upper section only (3 sc in each corner), join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
With Color C, work 1 round of sc evenly around the three free edges of each panel (skip the top short edge that will be seamed), placing 3 sc in each outer corner. Fasten off. Weave in ends. This creates a clean, modern finished edge that matches the reference.

Assembly

1. Lay upper section flat, RS up, with the Color A (coral) edge at the top and Color B (ivory) edge at the bottom.
2. Center one panel along the bottom (ivory) edge so that 20 panel sts sit on the middle 20 sts of the 60-st upper edge (20 sts free on each side). Pin.
3. Using the long tail and yarn needle, whip-stitch or mattress-stitch the top short edge of the panel to the corresponding 20 sts of the upper section.
4. Repeat for second panel immediately beside the first so the two panels sit side-by-side, fully covering the center 40 sts and leaving 10 sts free on each outer side of the upper edge. (This creates the balanced front-view drape shown in the reference.)
5. Weave in remaining ends securely.

Tassel Instructions (make 8 long Coral Peach tassels – 4 per panel end)

1. Cut a piece of cardboard 7" wide.
2. With Color A, wrap yarn around cardboard 25 times.
3. Slip a 12" length of A under the wraps at one end and tie tightly in a knot (this becomes the hanging cord).
4. Slide wraps off cardboard.
5. Wrap another 12" length of A tightly around the tassel, 1" below the top knot, 8–10 times; secure ends by threading through the wraps with a yarn needle.
6. Cut the bottom loops and trim evenly to 7".
7. Attach 4 tassels evenly spaced across the bottom short edge of each panel by pulling the hanging cord through a border st and knotting securely on the WS. Weave in cord ends.

Blocking
Gently wet-block or steam-block the finished scarf. Pin upper section to 24" × 14" and each panel to 8" × 40" on blocking mats, smoothing the lemon-peel texture flat without stretching. Allow to dry completely. This sets the modern minimalist lines and opens the textured stitch slightly for best drape.

Finishing Notes
All stitch counts have been verified: upper 60 sts remain constant; panels 20 sts remain constant; seaming matches 20-to-20. Color changes are clean. Tassels use only Color A as specified. Wear with the wide upper section draped cowl-style around the neck and the two long taupe panels hanging forward or to the sides.
